The sandwich is being tested in five markets: Greensboro, North Carolina; Phoenix; San Antonio; Orlando and Tampa.

"We are always looking for new ways to delight our guests and we are excited to test the new Chick-fil-A Fried Chicken Sandwich in these five markets," said Matt Abercrombie, Chick-fil-A's director of menu development. "So far, feedback has been overwhelmingly positive."

The sandwich will be available for a limited time.

KFC Introduces Double Down Fried Chicken Sandwich

In what is being called a "bold move," KFC has announced the introduction of the Double Down Fried Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich, which replaces the bread with two pieces of fried chicken, is being test-marketed in four U.S. cities starting today.

KFC spokesperson Laurie Schalow said that the company is hoping to tap into the growing trend of "extreme eating." "We know that Americans are looking for innovative and over-the-top menu items," Schalow said.

The Double Down Fried Chicken Sandwich will be available at participating KFC restaurants in Atlanta, Dallas, Sacramento, and Phoenix for a limited time only. Customers can choose between Original or Bacon Ranch flavors.

Wendy's Tests New Sriracha Fried Chicken Sandwich

After the success of their Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Wendy's decided to test a new Sriracha Fried Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich will feature crispy, white-meat chicken fillets coated in a spicy Sriracha sauce and will be served on a toasted bun with creamy avocado spread, pepper jack cheese, tomato and red onion.

"We're always testing new menu items at Wendy's to see what resonates with our customers," said Kurt Kane, Wendy's Chief Marketing Officer. "The Spicy Chicken Sandwich has been a big hit and we think the Sriracha Fried Chicken Sandwich will be even more popular."

The Sriracha Fried Chicken Sandwich is available for a limited time at participating Wendy's restaurants.

Burger King Debuts New Angus BBQ Bacon King Jr. Fried Chicken Sandwich

Angus BBQ Bacon King Jr. is the newest sandwich from Burger King, which makes its debut on Monday. The sandwich consists of a crispy chicken fillet topped with bacon, American cheese, barbecue sauce, and onions on a sesame seed bun. It will be available as part of a meal including fries and a drink for $4.99.

The Angus BBQ Bacon King Jr. is the latest in a series of limited-time offerings from Burger King. In November, the chain introduced its Whopperito, a combination of a Whopperburger and queso dip wrapped in a flour tortilla. In January, it introduced its Mac n' Cheetos, Deep-Fried Macaroni and Cheese Bites coated with Cheetos cheese dust.

The chain has been struggling to compete with McDonald's and Wendy's in recent years. In response, it has been introducing new menu items in an effort to attract customers.
