KFC Announces Contest Winner for Best Fried Chicken Recipe

For the past few months, Kentucky Fried Chicken has been running a contest to find the best recipe for fried chicken. The company announced the winner this week, and it turns out that the winning recipe was created by a woman from Texas.

KFC spokesperson Amy Alaya said that they were impressed with all of the entries they received, but that the recipe submitted by Kathy Mabry was the clear winner. Mabry's recipe uses a secret blend of herbs and spices that she has been using for years.

"We are excited to be able to bring Kathy's delicious fried chicken to our restaurants nationwide," said Alaya. "Kathy's recipe is sure to become a customer favorite."

Mabry said she was thrilled to have her recipe chosen as the best fried chicken recipe in the country. "This is a dream come true for me," she said. "I am so excited to be able to share my recipe with everyone."

In addition to being named the best fried chicken recipe in America, Mabry will also receive $10,000 and a year's worth of free KFC meals.

Man Wins $10,000 in Fried Chicken Contest

A man in the Philippines has won a $10,000(USD) prize in a fried chicken contest. The contest was sponsored by Jollibee, a fast food chain in the Philippines.

The man, who remains anonymous, says that he plans to use the money to help his family. "I am very happy. This will help my family a lot," he said.

This is not the first time that Jollibee has sponsored a fried chicken contest. In fact, they have been doing it for the past six years.

In order to win the prize, contestants had to eat eight pieces of fried chicken in less than 12 minutes. The man who won says that he trains for contests like this by eating at least two pieces of fried chicken per day.

According to Jollibee, the goal of the contest is to promote their new "Double Down" sandwich, which is two pieces of fried chicken instead of bread.

Woman Dies After Eating 24 Pieces of Fried Chicken

The woman, who has not yet been identified, bought a 24-piece bucket of fried chicken from a local KFC and reportedly ate all of it within a two-hour period.

She began feeling sick shortly thereafter and was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

While an autopsy is still pending, officials believe that the woman's death may have been caused by eating too much fried chicken.

"Eating too much of anything is never good for you, but especially fried chicken, which is high in calories and saturated fat," said Dr. Lisa Park, a nutritionist at NYU Langone Medical Center.

She added that consuming too much fried chicken can lead to obesity, heart disease, and other serious health complications.

So far this year, three other people have died after eating excessive amounts of fried chicken. In each case, the victims were obese and had other health problems.

Dr. Park cautioned against eating too much fried chicken, even if you are a healthy adult. She said that people should stick to no more than two or three pieces per sitting.

FDA Issues Warning About Unsafe Levels of Acrylamide in Fried Chicken

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this week warned consumers that some chicken products sold at major retailers nationwide contain unsafe levels of the chemical acrylamide.

The agency said it had tested a number of samples from grocery stores and found that almost all of them contained levels of acrylamide that exceeded what is considered safe. The highest levels were found in fried chicken products, followed by roasted potatoes.

"The FDA is issuing this warning because we know that acrylamide is a cancer-causing chemical, and we want to make sure people know about the potential risks when they eat these foods," said FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb in a statement.

Acrylamide is a natural by-product of the cooking process, and has been found to cause cancer in animals. It is not yet known whether it causes cancer in humans, but the FDA has stated that there is "some evidence" of a link between the two.

In light of these findings, the agency is urging consumers to limit their intake of fried and roasted chicken, as well as fried and roasted potatoes. It also recommends that they look for alternative cooking methods, such as baking or boiling, which produce lower levels of acrylamide.

Grocery stores are being urged to remove any products that exceed safe levels of acrylamide from their shelves.

This latest warning from the FDA comes just weeks after the agency announced plans to overhaul its approach to regulatingchemicals in food. Under the new rules, companies will be required to provide safety data for all chemicals included in their products, including those that have not been previously studied.
